A Tabby Tour Of Koskinou Rhodes.

I arrived at the Greek village of Koskinou in Rhodes in the dark a good 

45 minutes before sunrise with the temperature still hitting 27.

First thing I noticed were all the cats they seemed to be on every doorstep looking and wondering what this bald bloke was doing wandering around in the dark with a camera and tripod.

One young tabby cat decided I was definitely something of interest and followed me around inquisitively.

The village was a wonderful mixture of brightly coloured homes and a fair few derelict buildings which provided some fantastic rustic textures and faded colour.

After around 20 minutes walking the white washed village streets my furry guide got board and left me to go and hang with her feline friends.

Not long after I discovered this beautifully textured rustic doorway with amazing colours that leapt forward from its white washed surroundings.

The intricate details of the door were a work of art, and I felt an immediate sense of awe and wonder. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement as composed my camera to capture the textured beauty of the door.

I felt a sense of peacefulness and started to wonder what experiences this door had seen and who had lived in the house beyond.

This was the image that I was unknowingly looking for and summed up Koskinou perfectly.
