The Venetian Bridge Of Argassi
Price range: £165.00 through £600.00

My colour workflow is calibrated from camera to print — however, every screen displays colour slightly differently. If you’re unsure about a tone before ordering, email [email protected].

Not stock. Not AI. One photographer, 37 years, sharing his personal vision through the moments and stories behind every image.

A 19th-century Venetian bridge on Argassi beach, Zakynthos — arrived pre-dawn hoping the tide would be in. It was. I shot for an hour and a half as the light changed, joined the entire time by a large heron perched on the rocks. 37 years.

Description

MOUSE ISLAND CORFU

Mocks-Argassi-Bridge-00010

It was another wonderful morning, and I was joined by a large heron-like bird that perched itself on the rocks (to the left of the bridge) and enjoyed the sunrise with me, which made a change from all the cats!

BACKSTORY

Mouse Island, Corfu

This small island of Pontikonisi is better known as Mouse Island and is located on the island of Corfu,

According to legend, Pontikonissi was Odysseus’s ship, the vessel that brought the legendary king of Ithaca and the hero of Homer’s epic poem, the Odyssey, to the island of the Phaeacians.

My trip to Corfu was quite eventful; I experienced a flash flood, got bitten alive by mosquitoes, and even woke up to an earthquake shaking my bed! Despite all that, it was a lovely island to visit and photograph, and it certainly did not spoil my trip.

PRODUCT DETAILS

What you are hanging on your wall

Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm — the same archival paper used by leading photography museums and galleries worldwide. Not standard photo paper. A soft-textured, cotton-based surface that absorbs pigment ink at a depth that makes colours appear from within the print rather than sitting on top of it.

Each print carries my authenticated digital signature, is numbered as part of a strictly limited edition, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Once the edition is complete, that image is permanently retired. No reprints. No exceptions.

What’s The Difference Between A Canvas And A Limited Edition Print?

The canvas prints are open edition — produced on artist-grade cotton canvas with archival pigment inks.

There is no limit on how many can be made. The limited edition prints are on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper — a heavy cotton paper used in museum collections — with a strict edition cap.

When the edition sells out, the image is permanently retired. Both use the same photographs. The difference is the material, the edition limit, and what that means for long-term ownership.
