BEAUTY UPON BEAUTY AT Agios Stefanos

This is another image from a morning trip to Agios Stefanos on Kos.

I had finished capturing an image from the beach of the island of Kastri with the beautiful dawn light appearing over the distant Turkish peninsula.

I then turned my attention to another amazing landmark situated on the beach: the Byzantine Basilica of St. Stefan.

Despite it being still fairly dark when I arrived that morning, a guy parked next to me and disappeared over the ruins. I wondered what he was doing without a camera at this time of the morning!

As I later found out, he was doing his morning workout, and who could blame him in such a wonderful location?

It always amazes me that there are places like this in Greece where I can park for free, walk onto the site without navigating a ticket office, look around, and leave without being fleeced in a gift shop!

What’s The Difference Between A Canvas And A Limited Edition Print?

The canvas prints are open edition — produced on artist-grade cotton canvas with archival pigment inks. There is no limit on how many can be made. The limited edition prints are on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper — a heavy cotton paper used in museum collections — with a strict edition cap. When the edition sells out, the image is permanently retired. Both use the same photographs. The difference is the material, the edition limit, and what that means for long-term ownership.
